Welcome to The Moose Pond! The Welcomings posts give the Moose, old and new, a place to visit and share words about the weather, life, the world at large and the small parts of Moosylvania that we each inhabit.
Welcomings will be posted at the start of each week (every Sunday morning). To find the posts, just bookmark this link and Voila! (which is Moose for “I found everyone!!”).
The format is simple: each day, the first moose to arrive on-line will post a comment welcoming the new day and complaining (or bragging!) about their weather. Or mentioning an interesting or thought provoking news item. Or simply checking in.
So … what’s going on in your part of Moosylvania?
…
NOTE: The comments page will now split off after 20 or so left margin comments with the most recent comments on the current page. To see the older comments, scroll to the bottom of the page and use the link.

Hey Meeses – AT&T techie just left so I’m online for at least a little while. He replaced my router with one that actually works – at least for the moment, unlike the one that was shipped to me last week and not only didn’t give me wi-fi, it cratered my phone service. He also helped me move my computer from the living room to the den. It’s closer to the woodstove than I like, but it’s also close enough to the router that if the wi-fi goes down again I can get an ethernet cable and hook up that way. I still need to ship the dud back but the UPS store isn’t open. I’ll do it after work Monday. Might go ahead and get an ethernet cable anyway when I do as the Radio Shack is next door to the UPS store.
Started the day at 52, 63 now which means we’ve missed the projected high of 68. We had a little bit of sunshine around noon but it’s clouded up again. I’ve gotten just over 5 KWHs so far and that’s fairly close to being it for the day. That’s the “issue” with solar – I got just over 100 KWHs in the first 6 days of March, I’ve only picked up another 25 in the second 6 days. Still more than I’m using this time of year, so it’s good.
Not sure I’m checking anything but the Pootie diary at GOS today considering your “heads up” on Hillary’s gaffe. Today’s diary will probably but not necessarily be the last of the memorial tributes – except for the memorial we’ll be doing next week at the same time as the one in NC with the family and whoever can get there. Last Saturday the memorial diaries almost took over the rec list again – unfortunately the bros got a few in but we still had enough I opened the rec list for a minute to look. Time it takes to work through things. Getting there.
Hope everyone has a lovely rest of the day. Don’t forget to turn your clocks forward. heh. If I have wi-fi tomorrow I’ll check in. {{{HUGS}}}
