Welcome to The Moose Pond! The Welcomings posts give the Moose, old and new, a place to visit and share words about the weather, life, the world at large and the small parts of Moosylvania that we each inhabit.
Welcomings will be posted at the start of each week (every Sunday morning). To find the posts, just bookmark this link and Voila! (which is Moose for “I found everyone!!”).
The format is simple: each day, the first moose to arrive on-line will post a comment welcoming the new day and complaining (or bragging!) about their weather. Or mentioning an interesting or thought provoking news item. Or simply checking in.
So … what’s going on in your part of Moosylvania?

NOTE: The comments page will now split off after 20 or so left margin comments with the most recent comments on the current page. To see the older comments, scroll to the bottom of the page and use the link.

The earth still has her moments of beauty … “Firefall”
Morning, Meese! It’s in the 50s in Folsom and drizzling off and on. I’m at the vet with Belle for a senior screen/panel, and also because she has been yowling more often lately. She has been medicated with gabapentin, so hopefully this visit goes better.
Good morning, 41 and raining in Bellingham. tRump worries are still disturbing my sleep, so I’m slow this morning. But BBC Radio Scotland is easing me into the day. I love the collaboration of Americana and Celtic music.
My newly refurbished sewing room is a wonderful retreat and I’ve got years worth of projects waiting for me to mess around with so that’s where I’ll be again today. I’m still sorting fabric and trim and putting the room back together but new project ideas are forming so I’m nearly ready to actually cut and sew something.
Best Saturday wishes to all!
