Chuck Schumer's "new" economic plan in the Times is great. I also liked it when it was Hillary Clinton's campaign platform.

Thank you for your patience. Love and peace, Village! Enjoy your Wednesday gathering.
We are #StrongerTogether
We are #TheResistance and #WePersist
To paraphrase, aw heck, just cut and paste what I dropped at DK: Master Wufei is back on the “iffy” list and I’ve had not much sleep so responses may be hit or miss today. But you know I love you guys, right? :)
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
{{{MomentaryGrace}}} – thank you for double duty – neither of which have I read yet as I’m being slammed at work – but I will as soon as I get some of this paper moved. Sending Healing Energy for Master Wufei – and you (and anybody else in your household who needs it. Gotta go. Back when I can. moar {{{HUGS}}}

Morning folks. Thanks, MG, for all you do even though you have a sick kitteh. Here’s hoping he gets better fast. I love the PBO and the child picture. He’s so good with kids (I bet he’s a good dad off camera, too). Today will be a bitch. I’m hoping for the best and anticipating the worst.
96 projected high today. That’s better than the triples coming tomorrow. Now, I’m off to drink my coffee and read the article about the skinny ACA.
Thanks WYgalinCali. Appreciate the moral support.
Afternoon Meese…Thank you Gracie…The more we fight the more we’ll eventually get done…We’ll beat Dump and the Repukes it’ll just take a little time.
As for my late post…Miss Hillary doing her best to mess with me…She asleep halfway on my keyboard…I’m having difficulties uploading the damn pic I took…If I ever figure it out I’ll post it…
{{{Hugs}}} for Master Wufei and you too Gracie…
Thank you Batch, hugs are welcome.
Yes, they will lay on your keyboard, your book, the remote, your hand, your leg, your foot, and we will sit there forever trying not to disturb them. We feel so honored by that sleeping trust. sigh
Warning, TMI and worry-dump to follow. Avert eyes as needed.
The problem with Master Wufei is that his state is unpredictable. He has feline hyperthyroidism and has had it for years (lotta years). He gets a pill daily, rarely had any problems taking it inside a pill treat, and he’s supposed to eat the special Hill’s Prescription Diet y/d, which he’s eaten for years without issue.
This year, however, he started throwing up, randomly, when it wasn’t demonstrably anything weird he ate, like a piece of plastic bag or a bug from outside (he does that too, the weirdo).
When he has a retching spell, sometimes he throws up food, but sometimes he does it and there’s nothing but clear stomach fluid. Any time he does, he acts hungry but won’t eat offered food.
He got to where he just flat refused his prescription food and I was feeding him regular canned food just so he wouldn’t starve. I haven’t been able to get him to eat it again since.
We took him to the vet 3 weeks ago. His thyroid was super high, so Dr Mark told us to start giving him 2 pills a day, but he also had pancreatitis, so he got an antibiotic shot for that.
He continues to have retching spells, every two or three days.
When he does that, it’s a whole process to try and find something he will eat, and keep him from chewing electrical chords and stuff, he acts very hungry but can’t seem to recognize food when it’s offered, often for hours. So far I’ve been able to get him to eat baby food, a couple of times tuna, but it’s hit or miss and I have to keep an eye on him the whole time.
4 days after the vet visit, he retched. 4 days after that, threw up food. Last week, Tuesday, when we got home from going to the hospital, he retched. Thursday night, same.
Yesterday he threw up food (again). I’d been telling myself to give the antibiotic and the extra thyroid pill time, but I finally called Dr Mark and he prescribed an anti-nausea medicine, tiny pill (half pill), but when he won’t eat, it has to be given the hard way. We got it in him yesterday early afternoon, coaxed him to eat baby food last night, then this morning at 6am he was retching clear liquid again.
I am at wits end and haven’t slept more than 2 hrs at a stretch for a long, long time.
Called Dr Mark again, after coaxing him to eat, baby food, then tuna. So we’re back to 1 thyroid pill now, and maybe 2 (half) nausea pills… the hope is to get him back on his prescription food but he still regards it as inedible.
1 million apologies for dumping. And don’t worry about him or me, I’ll survive and he either will or won’t. I just pray for a little peace, for both of us (and poor V, who has to deal with my vapors).
/dump
Sorry, Village friends. It had to go somewhere.
{{{Grace}}} – you can always bring these things to us. That’s what community is for. And it does sound like pancreatitis – and not just an infection I’m sorry to say. When they have that it actually hurts to eat. They’re hungry but it hurts. So they’ll eat a little bit when they get hungry enough but stop when it hurts too much. I hope your vet can figure out how to help him. Mine couldn’t (but then she’d been misdiagnosed by a previous vet in the clinic and they’d been treating her for the wrong thing). Does he like liver? Just about the last thing my Aurora would eat was liver. We’d simmer a pound of chicken livers in about a quart of water, then blender them into a slurry she could lap. That kept her going almost a year longer than we thought she would. moar {{{HUGS}}} and Healing Energy.
I was hoping that the shot would have taken care of the pancreatitis, it’s so confusing with the thyroid problem at the same time.
I can get him to eat, sometimes he eats a lot, but it’s the retching that makes him not take the food, so I try different things or just wait.
We’re going to see how it goes. Dr Mark has hours in the morning Saturday if things don’t get better by then.
