Jan…WYgalinCali can come read but she can’t post. It won’t allow her to log out, so she can’t change her password. If you can would you give her a hand…Thanks
Morning meese…I’m assuming “Fire and Fury” is going to be burning up the internet and definitely be the number one topic in DC. I’m sure wannabe journalists will be standing in line even as you’re going to bed to get the copies that are being sold in DC at 1 AM…Should be a fun and fascinating day to say the least…
Look at the time stamp….He’s going to unravel totally…Sloppy Steve…Lmao
I authorized Zero access to White House (actually turned him down many times) for author of phony book! I never spoke to him for book. Full of lies, misrepresentations and sources that don’t exist. Look at this guy’s past and watch what happens to him and Sloppy Steve!

Wolff not only had access, he had a blue appointment badge directly from the Secret Service meaning he got MORE access than the press. https://t.co/6LEDu5UWY0

Free legal advice to the WH: An ex-staffer's statement cannot both be (a) an inappropriate disclosure of a confidence, and (b) wildly false. No one is violating a contractual non-disclosure provision if they are disclosing things that you say didn't happen. So, pick a theory.

That’s all for this morning meese
Have fun today and this weekend
Fire away!
{{{Batch}}} – what I’m mostly happy about is that if mad king donald is busy with in-fighting he’s not starting any real wars. How very sad that preventing war – and saving lives of our military at the least and whoever we attack as well – relies on keeping our president too distracted to start one. Too bad somebody can’t convince him that Puerto Rico is Guadalcanal so he should send the Navy to supply it. (Actually that probably wouldn’t work with mad king donald – would have worked like a charm with W though.)
Hope the day is boring for everybody. {{{HUGS}}}
???????? Hey, bfitz…I’m back.
{{{WYgal}}} YAY!!!! – moar {{{HUGS}}}
Morning all, and thank you, Batch. I have to admit I’m having a hard time kicking into gear after the holidays. I suspect some of it may be due to the weather; a high of 5 degrees today which means all I want to do is go home after work, wrap up in a cozy throw, and read something mindless. Daily chores, any sort of activism, and cooking? Forget about it…! I hope that next week’s projected higher temperatures (in the 30s…that’s practically shorts weather!) will break some of my lethargy; well that, and running out of mysteries to read.
One thing I have no intention of reading is Wolff’s book. I’m sure all the juicy tidbits will be covered in the news and on Twitter, but unless it starts convincing some Republicans that they need to do something about 45*s lack of fitness for office, it’s just gossip. It’s pretty clear that there’s some sort of momentum building, but outrage is a far cry from action. And really, didn’t Hillary tell us all of this already?
I don’t believe impeachment is going to happen; at this point, it’s hard to see what action the Narcissist-in-Chief could take that would convince enough Rs in the House and Senate to impeach and convict. Nor am I convinced that Mueller will be able to effect much change; his report will be made, and the Rs will likely just sit on it. He may be able to take out some T***p cronies for money laundering and/or obstruction, but his ability to take out the faux POTUS is very much dependent on the a) not getting fired; and b) bucking the “conventional wisdom” that effectively protects a sitting president from criminal charges. Aargh…I don’t mean to sound like a Debbie Downer, because that’s really not what I’m feeling. I’m just more focused on taking the House (and with work and luck, the Senate) so we can slow down the damage being done by Rs in power. The rest falls into bonus territory as far as I’m concerned, and I think it’s far more likely that the Orange One’s health will fail before there’s any legal action.
But what do I know…I’ve been immersed in the 1920s world of Maisie Dobbs, Phryne Fisher, and Miss Marple lately!
Morning Sher…Yeah, I’m not buying the damn book either..Either I see excerpts on line or I don’t…Don’t really care as like you stated, it’s gonna be mostly be gossip but it will hopefully inflame the coddled one so he goes off the deep end sooner rather than later.
I doubt we’ll even talk impeachment unless we get the house. I’ll be satisfied with many cronies going down and then taking the house and senate. Like you, I have my doubts that he will make it through his term and, if he doesn’t, Pence will be tarnished by the same brush as the POS if he tries to run.
{{{DoReMI}}} – hope the warmer temps will give you some energy, but really this IS the time of year for resting (since humans don’t hibernate) and recharging.
As to Mueller, I’m not and never have counted on him “saving” us from this administration or R-controlled Congress. I am counting on him to put together such a tight case against this lot that after this administration is out of power the whole group ends up in the federal pen and it breaks up the cabal that’s working so hard to destroy our government. For now we need to work our tails off resisting (blocking, pushing back) and boots on the ground precinct-level organizing to take back Congress. No, we shouldn’t waste time, energy, tax money, or political capital impeaching mad king donald because we’ll never have the 66 Senators needed to remove him from office and impeachment w/o removal will be seen as vindication. That would just shorten the time we have in power to clean up the mess and get back to where we were before mad king donald was “elected” by voter suppression (among other things).
Miss Marple is a good person to be with right now. She sees parallels, connects dots, and does it politely and while knitting. :) moar {{{HUGS}}}
I cleared my cookies. I think I’m good.
That will do it! Glad it got cleared up. I have to clear cookies about once a month now. Sadly, it seems to be a feature of WordPress. I guess with free software we get what we paid for! ????
Thanks for the shout out to JanF. I guess I had a bad command in my cookies. All good now.
Need more sugar in the cookies… :)
Cookies? Did someone say cookies?
Too cute. If I was a kitteh, that would be me.
