Good morning meese…
I’m one pissed of moose…
Seems the moron trumpers are shouting to the moon like wild dogs about companies like the deplorable Walmart upping their minimum wage to $11/hr and giving bonuses to certain employees. I’m sure they are referring to the full time employees of which there aren’t as many as you’d expect. Large corporations like Walmart would rather employ very few full timers so they don’t have to offer the minuscule benefits they do offer. Funny thing about Walmart is they had upped their minimum wage to $10/hr last year but most people don’t realize it so $1 more makes hardly any difference.
Here’s the kicker…Walmart Corp also closed 63 Sams Club which they own and laid off employees and closed come of the Walmart’s also. Of course that doesn’t get reported at the same time.
The MSM hasn’t all of a sudden changed their ways…They’re still only reporting half stories to make Bum seem like the savior of mankind when in reality we know he’s just the Devil in ill fitting suits.
Fuck the GOP tax scam and Trump!!!
You are a bunch of deplorable jackasses for reporting this and then not reporting the downside and what Walmart Corp. has done to shore up their bottom line with store closings and layoffs. #FU

Were you born this stupid or did the GOP give you some of their stupid inducing kool-aid to drink? #FU

You're a complete idiot if you believe that..I worked for Walmart for 8 years and they don't give away anything without getting their pound of flesh…Trump is a deplorable piece of shit and obviously so are you for believing anything he says.

They literally just laid off thousands of employees. Like, literally. You have done nothing but line the pockets of everyone who works on the top floors. Everyone below has been left behind. https://t.co/EhpsZNcfYv

Fire away!!!
Good morning, Pond Dwellers and thanks, Batch, for another TGIF rant-a-thon. I am surprised the Sams stores closing didn’t get the press release that the bonuses did. They’re not unique. AT&T did it, too. They’re trying to use smoke and mirrors to obfuscate but it will still come out. Those laid off employees will tell their friends, who will tell their friends and so on. It may take a while, but this news isn’t dead and buried. It’s just getting started.
46 and foggy with a projected high of 59. I hope it gets that high. If the fog burns off quickly, it should. Covfefe is a requirement not a suggestion.
Morning meese…Dreary day so far…Expecting rain and falling temps with 4 out of the next 6 days to drop into the 30’s overnight.
{{{Batch}}} – that’s the standard M.O. for corporations, for the R party, and for the RW-corporate-owned media. Big manipulative headlines, tiny retractions and addendums that don’t fit the propaganda meme. And unfortunately the answer is to breakup that consortium and restore the FCC protections we had back before the 1978 change (did away with Fairness Doctrine and public service requirements) – and of course the 1996 Act allowing “Free Market” competition just made it a whole lot worse because the “Free Market” creates monopolies. (Yeah both signed by Dem presidents. Carter was gormless and Clinton never vetoed a bill the Rs would override.) Those 2 changes in media and telecommunications laws are why we are where we are. Gave Evil the propaganda power to take Power – and to mostly determine who would be in Power. sigh. moar {{{HUGS}}}
Righteous rant, Batch; thank you. It’s hitting close to home here:
Unfortunately from a political perspective, I’m not sure how much of a difference that will make to voters.
Speaking of Lansing (yeah, I’m full of random thoughts today), if the 21st is anything like today, I’m going to skip the Women’s March ’18 in Lansing. It’s 19 degrees outside, which isn’t the worst thing ever, and I would be able to dress for it if the march were today. But we have a stiff, constant wind blowing in from the west, and that is not something I’m willing to suffer through. There, I’ve drawn my line in the sand; now I just hope I haven’t jinxed myself!
