Sometimes you realize the reason you have a writing block is because you’re so damn angry. Twitter reminds me that I’m not alone; I remind myself that voting is cathartic and can’t come soon enough. Let’s get it done.
Been there, done that, not playing that game anymore.
Sometimes it feels like being a woman is a long slow process of swallowing your anger until it poisons you and you die

Misogynoir writ large.
Serena Williams & The Cost of Misogynoir????
‘Who amongst you wouldn’t be angry? Ah, but your commitment to seeing black women, especially this champion black woman, obedient and controllable means you’ll lie and say “it’s part of the sport.”’https://t.co/bqZrx1BVVy pic.twitter.com/1lc64QKfD2

Misogyny doesn’t follow national boundaries; Lee Hee Jin is a South Korean actress and former member of an all-female pop group.
Lee Hee Jin just speak the truth. Whenever women get angry over something, people will ask “are you on period?” So women only allowed to get mad only when we are on period ? pic.twitter.com/E2qbyjxCuZ

You don’t have to have been to law school to have experienced this.
I live for how flustered and angry these white dudes in my Con Law class get because the professor asks them to explain their opinions and they just raise their voices and get really red meanwhile the women have been challenged their entire lives to argue well without anger lmao

But if you have…
It may be a different topic than what Alice Paul fought for, but we’re still fighting the same people. #RenoGRIF18 https://t.co/BwXhCleJQs

And certainly (and obviously) not new.
To Bell Burnell’s admirers, the prize is richly deserved and long overdue. In 1974, when a Nobel Prize in physics was awarded for the discovery of pulsars, her adviser was a recipients. She was not. No woman has won the Nobel Prize in physics since 1963. https://t.co/dOFhNLyx8f

Really not new.
“In 1878, she told The New York Times: ‘I was practically driven to Rome, in order to obtain the opportunities for art culture. The land of liberty had no room for a colored sculptor.’” https://t.co/acbtLg1v9j

BUT!
Our unleashed anger unites us.
I do not think it has dawned on Media and our political class just how angry women are. They’re gonna hear from us. https://t.co/TFVaQycmZu

Our unleashed anger strengthens us.
To the woman who is angry,
Express it.
Anger is a healthy emotion.
The only reason women have been taught it’s not acceptable, is to control us.
There’s a lot of powerful energy in anger.
Fuck being ladylike.
Be powerful instead.— Michelle Elman (@ScarredNtScared) September 5, 2018
Our unleashed anger empowers us.
Women’s anger is at boiling point – and when we hold it in the consequences are devastating, says @marisajbate https://t.co/33abCAEG5k pic.twitter.com/Ttv4Thk0Na

November 6th. 56 days. Be angry; get free.
Good morning and thanks DoReMI. Women have a lot of good reasons to be angry and determined. I hope some of the women who didn’t vote in the last election or voted for regressive behavior have become angry at what is happening and will vote Democratic from now on.
Women and male allies. ???? The dudebros will never shut up and listen, which is why they are doomed to fail again and again. But women are learning to ignore their bluster and forge ahead; anger creates focus too.
{{{DoReMI}}} – anger is energy – it’s how I’ve survived a large chunk of my life when Depression would have me take it. According to some it’s cost me jobs, potential “relationships”, and even friendships. Mebbe so, mebbe no – but I’m still here and I’m still doing what I can to “make things better” for others living in unfair situations. Like most women and POC (& especially WOC).
You did a really good round up there. I think I’ll go RT them. ???????????? Thank you. moar {{{HUGS}}}
