Good grumpy Saturday morning, Meese. In Ashburn right now it’s 54 F., going up to 70 F. later, and the sky is very cloudy. It is totally weird how at odds the weather app on my iPhone is compared to what’s actually happening. The app has continually said it’s raining (it’s not, nor has it been), or snow-flurrying (that wasn’t today, or whatever. Now tonight a power outage owing to high winds and even a weak tornado are expected. Rilly? We shall see.
My two front teeth were worked on so now I don’t have to go back to the dentist until April.
Lots to do today, including shopping for groceries, finishing up the Christmas cards, and various other chores. Tomorrow I’m planning to make Cornish pasties. I do that once a year, usually in December. It’s very time-consuming.
I must strive to get it all done before the high winds supposedly kick in at 4 p.m. In the meantime, breakfast awaits!

Good morning. Watching the news about the tornadoes, feel terrible for all those people. We have lovely weather — a cold front came through so it is close to seasonal weather. Today: pick up groceries, make tea for next week, maybe a walk this afternoon.
It’s 32 heading for 49 and the clouds seem to be clearing off. Yesterday we generated just over 3 KWHs and the m-t-d of 53.73 lost ground to slightly more than a full good day of production. sigh.
The front that came in ahead of the temperature drop was a little scary – high winds, lashing rain, tornado watch (& I assume tornadoes elsewhere) – but it didn’t last all that long. We had a few spates of clearing – I did actually see Grandmother Moon when I was closing the curtains before lights out – then more gentler rain. Not that much rain – .8″ altogether – but still rain.
OK – all my “vitals” are fine. Even though it took trying 3 different fingers and waiting 5 minutes for a reading on the O2 and pulse rate. My weight’s a little low but not by much. I saw the Nurse Practitioner yesterday – which was fine, I trust them more than I do doctors – and we discussed my 3 concerning issues. Basically bones/Ca & other nutrient malabsorption, hands, and sinuses. She’s ordered a bone scan, yet to be arranged because they don’t do them on site of course, as well as a slew of tests with the blood that was drawn. Some tests for nutrient lack, some for arthritis, I’m not sure what all else. But there certainly a lot of them. And we trying a medication for the sinuses that she’s had good results using on COPD and COVID pneumonia. I do hope this works. But at least she listened to me about my symptoms and what I’ve tried over the course of my life and didn’t suggest something I already tried/knew wasn’t going to work – nor jump straight to CT, ENT, surgery. Which is miles ahead of any doctor I’ve ever talked to. She wants the arthritis test and maybe check on some neurological things just to rule them out but she pretty much agrees with my son about my hands. (He thinks repetitive motion syndrome probably exacerbated by my Raynaud’s.) She had no problem with my acid reflux (which she suffers from too, poor woman) being diagnosed by a naturopath, my Raynaud’s by a chiropractor, and the celiac & IBS – based on elimination diet evidence – by an eye doctor. She was rigorous about masking (in a clinic where most of the staff wear theirs around their neck unless actually interacting with a patient), thanked me when I showed her my vaccination card, and tests herself regularly – she’s got 4 kids all too young to be vaccinated. I like her.

Good morning, 44 and still raining. The sound of rain on the roof isn’t very relaxing any more! I was to tired to cope yesterday, so today will be busy with party prep for tomorrow. We’ll go to the afternoon performance today and see what Ava has been rehearsing for since last summer. She has one of the main parts this year so it will be fun to see. Best wishes to all.

It is 32 degrees in Madison with an expected daytime high of 36. Snow tapering off later this morning then clear this afternoon. When I woke up, it was raining then it turned to snow – probably not more than a 1/2 inch of accumulation here. Further north they got over 5 inches and Way Up Nort’ they got 12.
It is already mid-morning! I realized that I had not checked in, I had been nose to the grindstone all morning trying to get a few to-do stacks reduced. Now it is time to shut down. I will have to hope that there was nothing important in the Internet news. I did notice that SCOTUS did not take the case from the Wisconsin Republican Party seeking to dismiss the Democratic Party’s federal lawsuit against their maps. That means that our maps have a slight chance of surviving since we can plead our case in federal court and bypass the Republican Wisconsin Supreme Court. That court said that the maps illegally drawn up 10 years ago should stay in place and that the Democrats winning statewide elections in 2018 and 2020 can simply be ignored. So it will come down to state court maps v federal court maps and with the Supreme Court of John
