Welcome to The Moose Pond! The Welcomings posts give the Moose, old and new, a place to visit and share words about the weather, life, the world at large and the small parts of Moosylvania that we each inhabit.
Welcomings will be posted at the start of each week (usually Saturday night with a Sunday date). To find the posts, just bookmark this link and Voila! (which is Moose for “I found everyone!!”).
The format is simple: each day, the first moose to arrive on-line will post a comment welcoming the new day and complaining (or bragging!) about their weather. Or mentioning an interesting or thought provoking news item. Or simply checking in.
So … what’s going on in your part of Moosylvania?

NOTE: The comments page will split off after 20 or so left margin comments with the most recent comments on the current page. Good morning. Air conditioning is wonderful. Not waking up because it’s 82 degrees is bliss. Plan for today: get started on my new job, if my ID has been verified. For now, I’m eating breakfast & watching the news.
{{{anotherdemocrat}}} I’m glad you’ve got A/C – Holding the Good Thoughts for the “new job” & Healing Energy all around. moar {{{HUGS}}}
It was 59 when I got up, 63 now, and heading for 86. Last warm day for a bit. We get dropped in the deep freeze for a few days as of Monday. Sunny at the moment. We generated 8.4 KWHs yesterday and the m-t-d at 118 is losing more ground. I haven’t heard from the Ozark Solar guy so he must not have heard from SolarEdge. We’re going on 2 weeks now since they “approved” and said they’d be shipping the replacement optimizer.
I’m beginning to think that whatever caused that nasty noise we assumed was a fan bearing going out on the computer fixed itself when I left it on for 3 days. I’m also beginning to think the noise and running slightly warm (for now) are simply because the fan needs to be cleaned on a regular basis. I can’t really see the dust unless the sun hits my desk just right but it did this morning and heavens! The cords totally trap dust bunnies and cat fur and this morning there was a clump of fur right against the air intake (so I’m guessing there was a cat on my desk overnight). I’ve got to figure out a way to keep the area cleaner than I obviously have been.
I guess it’s off to twitter and check on folks and so forth. Bright the day, Meeses. {{{HUGS}}}
