Week-long Welcomings from Moosylvania: September 22nd

Welcome to The Moose Pond! The Welcomings posts give the Moose, old and new, a place to visit and share words about the weather, life, the world at large and the small parts of Moosylvania that we each inhabit.

Welcomings will be posted at the start of each week (usually Saturday night with a Sunday date). To find the posts, just bookmark this link and Voila! (which is Moose for “I found everyone!!”).

The format is simple: each day, the first moose to arrive on-line will post a comment welcoming the new day and complaining (or bragging!) about their weather. Or mentioning an interesting or thought provoking news item. Or simply checking in.

So … what’s going on in your part of Moosylvania?

NOTE: The comments page will split off after 20 or so left margin comments with the most recent comments on the current page. To see the older comments, scroll to the bottom of the page (right before “Leave A Reply”) and use the Pages Tool to view previous pages, shown here with 3 pages of comments available and Page 2 circled.

  1. It’s 61 heading for 81 and lightly overcast at the moment. As in cloudy but not dark. Yesterday we generated just enough over 9 KWHs that the m-t-d starts the day at 330. Looks like, maybe, we’ll reach 340 after all. That’ll be nice.

    I haven’t heard from my brother in FL. White Light of Protection for him, his family, Dee’s goddaughter, and everybody who was hit by Helene.

    It’s 4 weeks since Rennie crossed the Rainbow Bridge, 2 since I buried his ashes (and I just took the last of the pred for the poison ivy). It’s not that I’ll forget, I won’t do that, but it’ll be easier after the 1st full month is up. Meanwhile the other 3 seem to be doing well. I’ve gotten more rigorous on measuring what I’m putting out and they are eating enough. So I’ll stop worrying. Mostly.

    I did the decongestant nasal spray last night and it let me sleep. Late actually. Not a full 8 hours but close to it and almost 8 am when I got up. Off to start my boosting day. Holding the Good/Healing/Protecting Thought for everybody. {{{Meeses}}}

  2. Good morning, 46 and cloudy in Bellingham. Another night on and off sleep so I’ve met my worry quota for today! I did go for a walk at Boulevard park with my friend yesterday. I used my walker and we basically just strolled from bench to bench, but it was nice to be outdoors and visit with a view of Bellingham Bay. Best wishes to all.
