Welcome to The Moose Pond! The Welcomings posts give the Moose, old and new, a place to visit and share words about the weather, life, the world at large and the small parts of Moosylvania that we each inhabit.
Welcomings will be posted at the start of each week (usually Saturday night with a Sunday date). To find the posts, just bookmark this link and Voila! (which is Moose for “I found everyone!!”).
The format is simple: each day, the first moose to arrive on-line will post a comment welcoming the new day and complaining (or bragging!) about their weather. Or mentioning an interesting or thought provoking news item. Or simply checking in.

Good morning 33 and foggy in Bellingham today. I’ve been quiet this week, basically shutting down so my old knees/legs can recover. But the tree is in the garage so it will come in today or tomorrow and we’ll have lights glowing in the corner. It’s dark all day now so the lights are welcome.
My plan to do our Christmas shopping at antique/charity shops is going well. It’s fun to find something that makes me think about someone and the prices are good too. Simple fun, but a good distraction from worrying about things I have no control over. Best wishes to all.
